Sprites Testing - Aria


Hey there!

As promised, I'm sharing here some artwork I made recently for Rings of Titeia. I've been working the entire week on redesigning Aria and I wondered how crazy would it be to make big, BIG sprites ( compared to what I had before ), so I just went ahead and came up with this result. Here's a walking cycle and an idle animation. Both are 16 frames long and twice the resolution of Aria's sprites in the tech demo you can find here on itch.io. 

Remember that this is just a test for me to see how long it takes to design sprites with such a frame rate and resolution. And yes, it's VERY time consuming, but it's also much fun! I wonder how far I'll keep this going, depending on my schedule and my own patience, but I'd love to have a complete sprite set with that resolution.

Nice work !

Great head and shapes <3

Walk animation is so hard to do, it's great !

Head is maybe moving too much, and legs are a little bit mechanical, but it's fluid and nice.

On previous smaller sprite, boobs were moving more, I kinda miss that ^^'

Idle pose is really cool !
